Dialing through 3CX Phone System, and Transferring to 3CX

Extensions (Free trial version of 3CX.)

1: Start off by adding a normal extension to 3CX, and call it MDLsolutions/Dialer. Record the ID and Password, so you can add them to the dialer.

2: Add the dialer extension to one of your outbound rules for either a PSTN device or VoIP provider.

3: (a) Add the ID and Password you used when setting up the extension for the dialer, and enter the 3CX IP Address and Challenge Question (3CXPhoneSystem) under the 'Configuration' tab.

(b) The free version of 3CX does not support queues, so you cannot run in predictive dialing mode. So you will need to set the initial call rate to 1, and then increase it when you need more calls to be transferred to your extensions/agents. The call rate affects each individual channel. So a call rate of 1 will give you 1 call a minute on each simultaneous channel. For example, if you have 2 channels dialing simultaneously and you set the call rate to 1, you affectively have a call rate of 2 calls per minute.

4: Create extensions in 3CX and record the 'Extension Numbers'.

5: (a) Add the 'Extension Numbers' you recorded, to the 'Phone System Transfer List' tab as shown below.

(b) Should you need to send calls in one call list to one group of agents, and calls in another call list to another group of agents, then please look over the ‘Agent Group Setup’ under the FAQ’s. Otherwise for testing purposes just select default.

6: Change line two under the 'Navigation' tab to 'Blind Transfer(3CX)'.

7: Import your call list/s, and set it/them to active.

8: Press 'Start Calls'. Note: If you are using the Agent Disposition Interface, set the 'Interface' value to '3CX' in the configuration file for the Agent Disposition Interface. Also make sure you have configured the '3CX Controller IP Address(3CXOnly)' to the IP Address of the 3CX phone system that you have the plug in running on.
